The Agency is organizing its efforts in response to the fires in San Diego County as follows:

Our primary concern is the safety of our staff. We're asking managers to keep in close contact with those staff that may be affected by the fires, and our efforts are first to get help to those staff members.

Secondly, the Agency is gathering our resources - staff, food, clothing, counseling, volunteers - to provide help to the community as needed; for example, providing support to those evacuees at Qualcomm Stadium.

We are coordinating the delivery of prepared, hot meals to Qualcomm Stadium this evening and most likely ongoing, and

The Agency is asking for staff to volunteer to assist the San Diego 211 Service, to take on shifts to answer the telephones. For more information on volunteering at 211 please contact Megan at 858-300-1240 or at mstorer@211sandiego.org.

If you have further questions, information or would like to volunteer, then please contact Sister RayMonda's office at 619-231-2828 x234. Thanks for your help.

We hope you are all safe and our thoughts and prayers are with all of those affected.
